Sydney Opera House Guided Tour

The Sydney Opera House has developed a new guided tour called “the essential tour.” Since their backstage tour costs A$150, I had pretty much written it off. The essential tour, however, only costs A$27.50, or A$25 if you’re willing to go between 9-10AM. At that price, I’ll definitely go on the Friday or Sunday of the first visit.
Jose Carerras is there while I am in town, but I cannot justify paying A$200 for obstructed view seats to see him perform. I am still stogy and cheap when it comes to concert prices. For what it’s worth, there are only two performers still alive of any genre where I’d pay much more than US$125: Al Green and Bruce Springsteen.
