I suspect that the details here are going to change several times over the next few months, probably all the way until I buy the domestic airline tickets. The plan has changed three times already in the last month… my first plan was to end in Melbourne except that the timing would coincide with the Australian Open and hotels would be outrageously expensive.

Here is the current plan:

• Leave the USA on a Tuesday afternoon, arrive in Sydney on Thursday morning
• Sydney: 2 days
• Uluru (Ayers Rock): 2 days
• Melbourne & environs: 6 days
• Tasmania: 5 days
• Sydney & environs: 5 days
• Total: 20 days in Australia, 23 days total away from home, 16 vacation days
